Important Dates - Annual Golf Outing & Scholarship

On April 4th, 2008, the Tri-State lost two young firefighters with promising futures. In the wake of this tragic event, our community banded together to carry the torch of the fallen.  With the purpose of carrying on Brian’s legacy and his desire to help others, the Schira family established the Brian W. Schira “102” Scholarship Fund.  The sole purpose of this Scholarship Fund is to provide the needed funding for advanced training for firefighters, particularly in the medical field.   Twenty local firefighters have received scholarships and have gone on to earn their National Certifications. By providing these scholarships we hope to ease some of their financial burden.

Presently, over 90% of the runs made by our local fire departments are for EMT/Paramedic services. As our population grows and ages, the need for more firefighters with paramedic skills will also increase. We hope to fill that need with your help.

Our mission is to assist firefighters in obtaining advanced life saving skills and education in order to increase their ability to protect their communities without compromising their own safety.  This education minimizes the loss of life for firefighters and civilians alike.
